On May 26, 2022, in the framework of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Italian Republic the Embassy hosted a lecture by the famous Italian writer and filmmaker Silvano Agosti. 
During the meeting with students from Kyrgyzstan studying at universities in Rome, S. Agosti presented one of his books called "Lettere dalla Kirghisia" (Letters from Kyrgyzstan), a novel about a peaceful society, based solely on the well-being of all people, not on profit. 
Guests of the event got answers to their questions about the history of writing about Kyrgyzstan, the personal life and philosophy of the writer.
