On February 9, 2024, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Italy Taalai Bazarbaev held a working meeting with the Plenipotentiary Minister, Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Italy Marco Villani. During the meeting, Ambassador T. Bazarbaev discussed with his interlocutor a wide range of issues of cooperation between law enforcement agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Italian Republic.

Noted the readiness of the Kyrgyz side for close interaction with Italian colleagues. Expressed a request to expedite the consideration of draft bilateral Agreements in the field of ensuring public security, combating organized crime, countering terrorism, migration, as well as on readmission, the signing of which is expected during the upcoming high-level visits to Italy this year.

Plenipotentiary Minister M. Villani noted the active position of the Italian Ministry of Internal Affairs towards interaction with the Kyrgyz Republic. He emphasized his readiness to provide the necessary assistance in signing the noted bilateral Agreements necessary for the further exchange of best practices and information between the competent authorities of the two states.
