On May 30, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zheenbek Kulubaev, held a meeting with the President of the Trade and Investment Agency of the Italian Republic, Matteo Zoppas, and the Vice-President of the Association of Italian Bottled Mineral Water Producers, Ettori Fortuna.

During the meeting, issues of intensifying Kyrgyz-Italian cooperation in the field of trade and investment were discussed. Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev noted with satisfaction the increase in trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Italy in recent years and proposed to strengthen joint work to further increase it.

In addition, the meeting participants examined the prospects for cooperation in light industry, agriculture, as well as in the field of renewable energy sources.

In this context, President M. Zoppas expressed his readiness to assist in attracting interested Italian companies to Kyrgyzstan to implement mutually beneficial projects using Italian advanced technologies.
