The SCO Third International Marathon has been held this past Sunday, December 2, 2018. More than 20 thousand participants from 52 countries and regions in total took part in the Event. The competitions included the races for the distances of 42 km (marathon), 21 km (semi-marathon), 7 km and 2.6 km.

Athletes Darya Maslova and Adilet Kyshtakbekov presented Kyrgyzstan in the marathon.

Darya Maslova finished the marathon with the result of 2 hours 40 minutes and 57 seconds being the third rank in women race. Adilet Kyshtakbekov is among the first ten leaders, finishing ninth rank with the result of 2 hours 33 minutes and 12 seconds.

The athletes are participating SCO Marathon for several years. Darya Maslova was the silver medal winner of the 2016 Marathon, and Adilet Kyshtakbekov was the winner of 2017 Marathon.

Our athletes conceded the Kenyan and Ethiopian athletes. Ethiopian representatives won the women's and men's competitions. Two athletes covered the distance of 42.145 km in 2 hours 20 minutes 49 seconds and 2 hours 35 minutes respectively.

Representatives of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to China arrived in Kunming to support Kyrgyz athletes.
