Astana, January 24, 2024 - Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Dastan Dyushekeyev met with the Ambassador of the South African Republic Ms. Keiytumetsi S.T. Matthews.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of holding the first Kyrgyz-South African political consultations, as well as organizing mutual visits at the level of the Heads of the States. South African Ambassador Ms. K.S.T. Matthews noted that Central Asia is gaining strategic interest to the South African Republic and expressed interest in strengthening high-level contacts and expanding bilateral cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic.

At the meeting, Ambassador Mr. D. Dyushekeyev informed about the priority areas of cooperation and expressed his readiness to assist in the implementation of bilateral issues of joint agenda.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to work out the visit of the Ambassador of South Africa K.S.T. Matthews to Kyrgyzstan in the very near future to additionally discuss further promising and mutually beneficial areas of cooperation.
