Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea in the field of healthcare

On September 30, 2021, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz
Republic in the Republic of Korea, an online signing of a Memorandum of
Understanding was held between State Institution "Clinical Hospital of the
Administrative Department of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic" and Yonsei
University Health System and Seoul Clinical Laboratories.
The tripartite Memorandum was signed by the director - chief doctor of the
State Institution "Clinical Hospital of the Administrative Department of the
President of the Kyrgyz Republic" Rasul Sultangaziev, President of the Yonsei
University Health System Dr. Yoon Dong-sup and Chairman of the Seoul Clinical
Laboratories Lee Kyoung Ryul. The signing ceremony was also attended by the
Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Korea Dinara Kemelova.
During the signing ceremony, the parties exchanged views on the upcoming
cooperation under the Memorandum in such areas as surgery, diagnostics, etc., and
also noted the relevance of signing this Memorandum, taking into account the fight
against coronavirus infection.
The director of the clinical hospital Rasul Sultangaziev expressed confidence
that the signed Memorandum will serve as a basis for close cooperation in the field
of advanced training of doctors, exchange of experience, etc.
In turn, Ambassador Dinara Kemelova in her speech called on the South
Korean side to assist in the construction of diagnostic centers, capacity building of
Kyrgyz hospitals by providing technical assistance, conducting joint operations
and diagnostics.
