Ambassador B. Amanbaev discussed ways to develop the IT industry in Kyrgyzstan

On October 26, 2021 Baktybek Amanbaev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States, met with K. Prikk, Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to the United States.

During the meeting Ambassador Amanbaev expressed his interest in the achievements of Estonia in the field of information technology and the experience of using the Internet by the population, introduced the plans of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov to develop these sectors and outlined the great success of Kyrgyz youth in this area around the world.

In his speech, Ambassador K.Prikk explained that in recent years the Estonian government has made significant progress in the use of digital technologies and development of IT technology sectors on Software and Hardware, due to the fact that the state pays special attention to the development of the industry and provides entrepreneurs with sufficient legal and financial support. He added that Estonia is currently focusing on training IT-specialists at the state level, opening new production facilities and even implementing large-scale projects for the production of robots. At the end of the meeting the parties agreed to work together in this area and share experience at the state level.

For reference: Estonia is one of the leading countries in Europe in terms of population involvement in using the Internet and 97,9% of the population have access to the Internet. Estonia ranks 17th out of 142 countries in the rating of IT development and occupies the first place in the Internet openness ranking.
