On June 23, 2021, a meeting of the Ambassadors of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Moldova was held in Washington at the Embassy of the Russian Federation to the United States. During the meeting, the Russian side voiced the results of the summit between the Presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States that took place on June 16, 2021, in Geneva. Meeting participants expressed their views on the outcomes of the summit and discussed other relevant issues on the international agenda of mutual interest.

Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States Bakyt Amanbaev in his remarks emphasized the importance of the U.S.-Russian summit for the global community, noting that strengthening relations between the Russian Federation and the United States will have a positive impact not only on the Kyrgyz Republic, but also on the Central Asian region.
