On January 25, 2024, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the USA and Canada with the residence in Washington, D.C. Baktybek Amanbaev had an online meeting with the Director for Eastern Europe and Eurasia of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Canada Andreas Weichert.

During the meeting, parties discussed topical issues on the agenda and prospects for the development of bilateral relations. Special attention was paid to the issue of organizing political consultations and mutual visits this year.

Parties noted the importance for cooperation in agriculture, education, hydropower and IT.

By the end of the conversation, the sides reaffirmed their mutual willingness to continue the dialog on a wide range of bilateral interaction, and also outlined further plans for the implementation of agreements.
