On February 2, 2024, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States and Canada Baktybek Amanbaev met with Donald Lu, Assistant Secretary of State for Central and South Asian Affairs of the United States.

During the meeting, parties discussed topical issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the United States, outlined plans for the development of cooperation for the current year, in particular, the organization of mutual visits and events, simplification of visa procedures, cooperation in the banking sector and development of trade and economic relations.
