The issue of strengthening cultural ties between the USA and Kyrgyzstan was discussed

On March 28, 2024, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the USA and Canada Baktybek Amanbayev, held a meeting with the Deputy Director of the Peace Corps David White.

During the meeting parties discussed the issues of enhancing cooperation between the Peace Corps and the Kyrgyz Republic. Ambassador Amanbayev noted that significant role in strengthening cooperation between the USA and Kyrgyzstan plays the development of educational and cultural ties. In addition Ambassador presented his proposals for joint work in this direction, including improving the teaching of English to Kyrgyz youth and implementing joint projects to educate the American people about Kyrgyz culture and its history.

David White noted that the Peace Corps effectively cooperates with approximately sixty countries worldwide and expressed his intention to further strengthen partnership with the Kyrgyz side. He promised that Peace Corps volunteers would teach English to Kyrgyz youth, help improve the professional level of English language teachers, introduce information technologies, and exchange experience in the field of education.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation on mutually beneficial terms.
