On April 17, 2020, Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov had a telephone conversation with David Hale, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs.

The parties discussed cooperation due to the spread of coronavirus infection in the world.

Minister Ch.Aidarbekov made a request to consider facilitating the situation of Kyrgyz citizens in the United States, including the possibility of assisting the American side in extending visas for free, creating conditions for protecting the health of school students and students who study at colleges and universities of the United States. 

In a positive light, the assistance provided and expected by USAID to Kyrgyzstan in countering the spread of the COVID-19 virus was noted.

Attention is drawn to the need to establish direct contacts between medical institutions and the Ministries of Health of the two countries.

The parties will continue to maintain constant working contact to resolve pressing issues on the bilateral agenda.
