On July 9, 2021, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with Mayor of Ankara Mansur Yavas.

The parties discussed the prospects of Kyrgyz-Turkish cooperation, in particular between sister cities of Bishkek and Ankara, in the spheres of economy and culture, suspended due to the coronavirus.

Noting that Ataturk Park in Bishkek is the largest city park, Ambassador Mr. Omuraliev requested to expedite the implementation of the previously reached agreement on the provision of a land in the Dikmen Vadisi Park in the center of Ankara for the park named after Chyngyz Aitmatov.
