On November 11, 2021, in Istanbul, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev took part in the Regular Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Turkic Council (Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States/CCTS).

The meeting of the heads of the foreign ministries took place on the eve of the 8th CCTS Summit in Istanbul, expected to become a historical event and open a new milestone in the development of cooperation between the Turkic-speaking states.

The parties exchanged views on topical issues on the agenda of the Turkic Council, paid special attention to the topic of green technologies, smart cities and digitalization.

Minister R. Kazakbaev in his speech noted that the current year is marked by the 30th anniversary of the independence of a number of Turkic-speaking states and assured that the Kyrgyz Republic will continue to contribute to the strengthening of Turkic integration. He emphasized the importance of intensifying the efforts of the Turkic Council to assist member states and observer states in overcoming the financial and economic crises, the coronavirus pandemic, environmental and other humanitarian problems.

Within the framework of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CCTS, the updated Regulations on the Council of Elders, the Regulations on the assignment of certain statuses to the cities of the Turkic world, financial issues were approved.

In addition, the foreign ministers of the CCTS member states approved a number of documents submitted to the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization on November 12, 2021 in Istanbul.
