On May 22, 2019, there was held meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev with the Senior Advisor to the President of the Republic of Turkey Yalchin Topchu.

Ambassador K.Omuraliev expressed gratitude for the contribution of Yalchin Topchu to cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, particularly in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. Yalchin Topchu noticed that cooperation in the sphere of culture will assist in the development of trade and economic relations. The parties agreed to cooperate on the further development of cultural and humanitarian relations, including the holding of the 4th World Nomad Games in Turkey in 2020.

Reference: Yalchin Topchu was the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the TR in 2015, General Chairman of the Great Unity Party in 2009-2011. He is also a member of the Control Commission of the Kyrgyz-Turkish University Manas.

 

In order to develop economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, tourism, direct relations of business communities and the mutual flow of citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, Ambassador Omuraliev noticed the necessity of resumption of Istanbul-Osh flight. He noticed that the request on this issue was also expressed to the President of Turkey, R.Erdogan, in the framework of the presentation of Credentials. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ch. Aidarbekov also discussed this issue with the Chairman of the Board of Turkish Airlines Ilker Ayci on May 8, 2019, as part of his visit to Turkey from 6 to 8 May 2019.

Yalchin Topchu supported this proposal and assured that he will inform the President of the Republic of Turkey R. Erdogan regarding the resumption of the Istanbul-Osh flight additionally.
