Ambassador Ruslan Kazakbaev met with Governor of Ankara Province Vasip Sahin

On February 23, 2023, Ambassador Ruslan Kazakbaev met with Governor of Ankara Province Vasip Sahin in the building of the City Security Management System Service, in which the Crisis Center for Emergency Situations was formed in connection with earthquakes in southeast Turkey.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Ruslan Kazakbaev conveyed condolences on behalf of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov and the people of Kyrgyzstan in connection with the numerous victims and large-scale destruction as a result of devastating earthquakes.

In turn, Governor Vasip Sahin expressed gratitude to Kyrgyzstan and the Kyrgyz people for the prompt assistance provided in the form of search and rescue teams of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic and doctors consisting of 182 people, a mobile hospital, medicines and about 130 yurts for temporary accommodation of victims in Kahramanmaras.

During the meeting, issues related to the legalization of the stay of citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Türkiye, in particular simplifying the procedure for obtaining a temporary residence permit were discussed. The head of the diplomatic mission of Kyrgyzstan expressed a request to provide maximum assistance in a comfortable stay of compatriots in the province of Ankara.

In order to expand trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as to strengthen friendship between the peoples of the two countries, the parties expressed interest in establishing sister city relations between Ankara province and Chui region.

To establish and intensify interregional cooperation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Türkiye, the parties discussed the issue of organizing a visit of the leadership of the Ankara province to Kyrgyzstan.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Ruslan Kazakbaev, accompanied by Governor Vasip Sahin, got acquainted with the work of the Crisis Center.
