On July 9, 2019, there was the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev with the Leadership of the Board of Directors of the Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) "Bashkent" headed by the Chairman Shadi Türk and representatives of companies operating in of OIZ “Bashkent”.

Ambassador presented to  Turkish businessmen the information regarding the investment potential of Kyrgyzstan at the meeting, as well as about the liberal legislative base and conditions for doing business, in particular, low taxes and costs of doing business: cheap electricity, labor, etc. Turkish businessmen were also provided with information about the Bishkek FEZ and investment projects of the Kyrgyz Republic.

At this meeting, representatives of Turkish companies expressed their interest in participating in business forums and exhibitions held in the Kyrgyz Republic.

After the meeting with the Turkish companies OIZ "Bashkent", Ambassador K.Omuraliev got acquainted with the industrial enterprises for the production of spare parts for airplanes and helicopters "Yepsan" and steel pipes "Akmermer boru".

 

         For reference: Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) "Bashkent" was established in 2001 and is one of the five major OIZ in Turkey. The main industries in which enterprises operate in OIZ“Bashkent” are the defense, metalworking, chemical, medical, pharmaceutical, food processing and printing machines. There are 550 industrial facilities located on a total area of about 7,000 hectares of land in OIZ "Bashkent ".
