On September 23, 2019, there was the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev with Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Varank.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey in the field of industry and technology. Taking into consideration big experience of Turkey in industry, Ambassador K. Omuraliev requested Minister M. Varank to assist in opening production facilities with new technologies in Kyrgyzstan.

The parties agreed to arrange joint research work between the Council for Scientific and Technical Research of Turkey (TUBITAK) and the relevant body of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as organize a visit of Kyrgyz representatives of the industry sector to Turkey to familiarize themselves with the Technopark of Ankara.

In order to attract investment and create production facilities, Ambassador K.Omuraliev informed M.Varank regarding investment opportunities and the climate in the Kyrgyz Republic, conditions for doing business (low taxes and expenses for doing business), macroeconomic indicators and foreign trade turnover of the Kyrgyz Republic, about the membership of the Kyrgyz Republic in the EEU and the status of GSP +.
