On December 21, 2018, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Tajikistan J.Rustenbekov presented copies of credential letters to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan S.Muhriddin.

During the meeting, topical issues of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan were discussed. Special attention was paid to the need to take practical measures to implement the agreements reached as a result of the official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic S. Jeenbekov to the Republic of Tajikistan on February 1-2, 2018.

The parties agreed to enhance the process of delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border.

In honor of the 90th anniversary of the birth of the great writer Ch. Aitmatov, Ambassador J.Rustenbekov presented the Minister of Foreign Affairs S. Mukhriddin Ch. Aitmatov's an archival photo with a famous Tajik poet M. Tursunzoda.
