Commentary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic on September 19, 2022

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic has considered the information delivered at the briefing by Tajik Deputy Foreign Minister Sodik Imomi on the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border on September 19, 2022.

The unprofessional and reckless comments of a diplomat of this rank on the domestic politics of a foreign state, including mentions of some segregationist policy, do not correspond to reality and the elementary norms of diplomatic ethics. Clearly provocative statements, which are a set of false and falsified information that do not correspond to reality, are presented as claims that a priori do not need to be confirmed.

At the same time, we point out that the continuation of the negotiation process on the delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border cannot be a reason for an armed attack in order to seize the sovereign territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Despite all the awkward and ridiculous attempts by the Tajik side to mislead the international community, the fact of the inhumane armed aggression of the Republic of Tajikistan against the Kyrgyz Republic, in violation of the fundamental principles and norms of international law, remains a fact.
