February 1, 2019 in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, a meeting of the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Tajikistan, Zh. Rustenbekov, with the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, N.Hikmatullozoda, took place.

During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of cooperation between the two countries in the trade and economic sphere. The issues of further development of interstate trade, mutual export of agricultural products and creation of joint Kyrgyz-Tajik enterprises, including in border areas, were touched upon.

Special attention was paid to the efficient use of transit transport routes and expansion of cooperation in the field of energy.

At the end of the meeting, the parties noted the need to take joint measures aimed at enhancing trade and economic cooperation and increasing the level of trade between the two countries.
