December 11, 2019 The meeting of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Tajikistan Zhanysh Rustenbekov with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Tajikistan Takayuki Miyashita took place.

At the meeting, issues of Kyrgyz-Japanese cooperation were discussed, including in the field of regional security. They also exchanged views on pressing international issues and the need to intensify cooperation in the field of high-precision technologies.

Zh. Rustenbekov noted the positive development of bilateral Kyrgyz-Japanese relations in the cultural and humanitarian sphere and the ongoing socio-economic projects of Japan in the Kyrgyz Republic, and also informed the interlocutor of the great hydropower potential of Kyrgyzstan.
