On October 25, 2019, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov met with Deputy of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Japan, General Secretary of the Liberal democratic party of Japan Mr. Toshihiro Nikai.

During the conversation, Minister Aidarbekov proposed to establish twinning relations of one of the regions of Kyrgyzstan with the electoral district of T. Nikai.

The parties discussed the issue of facilitating the procedures for importing agricultural products produced in the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan. In addition, the issues of cooperation in the development of hydropower in the Kyrgyz Republic, investment in joint projects were touched upon.
