On April 25, 2023, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan Erkinbek Osoev met with the Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Ms. Yoshikawa Yuumi.

Ms. Yoshikawa noted that the Japanese side highly appreciates the role of Kyrgyzstan in maintaining peace and stability, observing the fundamental principles of international law.

Mr. Osoev noted that Kyrgyzstan has always viewed Japan as a close, friendly and long-term partner with whom it shares common values of democratic development, political, trade and economic cooperation, which has sufficient potential for further improvement.

Also during the meeting, issues of strengthening human resources, investments, IT-sphere, «green transformation» and others were discussed. The parties agreed to maintain regular contacts and exchange views on current and prospective issues of cooperation.
