On May 19, 2023, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Japan Erkinbek Osoev met with the President of the Japanese Association of Travel Agents (JATA), Mr. Tadashi Shimura.

E. Osoev and T. Shimura discussed the participation of the Kyrgyz Republic in “Tourism EXPO 2023”, which will be held on October 26-29, 2023 in Osaka.

T. Shimura emphasized that the Central Asian Pavilion enjoys special interest among EXPO visitors due to its design and awareness of the history, culture and traditions of Central Asian countries.

Following the meeting the parties agreed to continue regular contacts and exchange information on improving the tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic.
