On October 24, 2019, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov met with the Rector of the Academic Institute of political studies (GRIPS) Mr. Akihiko Tanaka during a working visit to Japan.

The Minister noted the relevance of establishing cooperation between GRIPS and higher education institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic, the organization of joint research. He assured that, in case of interest of the Japanese side, the Kyrgyz side is ready to provide a platform for research of their scientists and students.

Rector of GRIPS expressed interest to establish partnerships with one of the Universities of the Kyrgyz Republic and to continue more substantive consultations  on the prospects for future cooperation.
