On June 3, 2021, the signing ceremony of the Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and Antigua and Barbuda took place. The document was signed on behalf of the Kyrgyz Republic by H.E. Ambassador Edil Baisalov, for the side of Antigua and Barbuda - by H.E.High Commissioner   Karen-Mae Hill.

         The Joint Communiqué is effective from the date of signing.

         The Heads of Missions of the two countries also discussed prospective areas of cooperation at the bilateral level and within the framework of international organizations. The parties expressed their mutual desire to promote the development and strengthening of friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Antigua and Barbuda.
