On the 27th of June 2022, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Kingdom U.Djusupov met with Lord Tariq Ahmad, the Minister of State for South Asia, North Africa, the United Nations and the Commonwealth at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).

The diplomats stressed the importance of a significant event on the bilateral agenda - the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

It was noted that over the past years, the Kyrgyz Republic and the United Kingdom have jointly achieved high results in cooperation in various areas, strengthening confidence and mutual understanding.

The parties discussed the current situation and prospects for bilateral Kyrgyz-British cooperation. They agreed on further strengthening mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation, intensifying contacts and ties, and upgrading relations to a new qualitative level with an emphasis on enhancing trade and economic cooperation.

The parties paid special attention to the prospects for developing cooperation in the field of green economy, renewable energy sources, climate change, education, digital and creative economy.

A schedule of mutual contacts and events was discussed. An exchange of views took place on topical issues of the regional and international agenda.
