Visa application form

Before you start, you must know whether you need a visa, and which visa you want to apply for. You can find more information below.

Required Documents for Visa Application:

1. Complete Visa application form. Please type and provide answers to all questions.

2. One passport size colour photo, which should be glued to the marked space in the upper right corner of the application form.

3. A valid passport which should have at least one clear page for a visa. Your passport must be valid for at least 90 days longer than the validity of the requested visa.

4. A copy of the passport.

5. A stamped or prepaid self-addressed Mail envelope (to send back your passport by post).

6. The payment of consular fee is a condition for processing of visa application (here you can find our Bank account details).

 

Remarks: The visa application fee reflects the administrative costs of processing an application. Your visa application fee will not be refunded unless you withdraw your application in writing before any processing takes place. Please note that the Embassy will not give refunds if your application is refused.

Diplomatic visa is issued to the holders of diplomatic passports on the basis of the requests of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the foreign countries and other state agencies and departments, international organizations and the foreign diplomatic missions with duly filled Application form.

Transit visa is issued for the period not exceeding 5 days. To obtain a transit visa, applicant must submit the Application form with enclosed a copy of transportation ticket with the visa/visas of the country/countries of other destination. See the visa categories information.

Required Documents for Visa Application:

Ordinarily upon receipt of the visa application form with required documents within 5 business days Consular Section will process and issue visas. Please note that necessity of additional procedural inquiries might take place in certain instances where processing time might take longer than 5 business days.

Consular Section provides up to 3 business days urgent visa processing. Consular fee for urgent services is equal to 100% of the original price of visa.

REGISTRATION FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS AND STATELESS INDIVIDUALS

Subjected to the Regulation of the Kyrgyz Republic “On External Migration” foreign nationals and stateless individuals arriving to the Kyrgyz Republic for a period exceeding 5 business days have to pass through registration procedure at the Kyrgyz Republic Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its territorial representation offices, at the Kyrgyz Republic of Home Affairs and its territorial representation offices and hotels in the area of arrival.

Persons qualified for exemption from passport registration:

·          heads of states, foreign country governments, members of the states, parliament, government delegations who are the holders of the official letters of invitation from the President, Jogorku Kenesh or Kyrgyz Government; administrative and technician personnel, members of family and others listed in the delegation list;

·         members of the military aircraft crews arrived to the Republic as it is prescribed in the regulations. Travelling round the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic for the mentioned crews is allowed if is stated in the schedule drawn up for military aircraft crews;

·         crews of the civil international airlines for stay period according to the current airlines schedules;

·         certain group of persons approved by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic;

 

 

Visa categories

• Diplomatic visa;

Diplomatic visas

Diplomatic visas are issued to diplomatic passport holders who arrive to Kyrgyz Republic on business or transit through its territory. Diplomatic visas are also issued to other foreign citizens if it is found to be efficient.

Business visas

Business visas are issued to service passport holders who arrive to the Kyrgyz Republic on business or transit through its territory. Business visas can be also issued if such issuance is found to be efficient.

Ordinary visas

Ordinary visas are issued to foreign citizens whose intention to arrive is business.

Investment visas

Investment visas are issued to investors who arrive with intention to carry out investment activities and hold required supporting documents identifying their contribution to the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic and is amounted to not less than 20 000 $ USA.

Tourist visas

Tourist visas are issued to foreign citizens who arrive on tourist purposes.

Employment visas

Employment visas are issued to foreign citizens who arrive to work.

Student visas

Student visas are issued to foreign nationals and stateless individuals who arrive to study.

Private visas

Private visas are issued to foreign nationals and stateless individuals who arrive on various purposes (guest invitation, medical treatment, etc.).

Permanent residence visas

Permanent residence visas are issued to foreign citizens who arrive to the Kyrgyz Republic on permanent residence.

In emergency case receiving side can apply to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Internal Affairs to change visa type corresponding to its competence.

Visas types

Subject to travel multiplicity visas are:

• single entry

• double entry

• multiple entry

Single entry visas are issued only for one visit Kyrgyz Republic

Double entry visas are issued for two visits to the Kyrgyz Republic

Multiple entry visas are issued for multiple visits.

Depending on the Kyrgyz Republic state boarders crossing nature visas are divided by:

·         Entry visas

·         Entry-exit visas

·         Exit-entry visas

·         Exit visas

Entry visas are issued to foreign citizens for permanent residence in the Kyrgyz Republic and also the period exceeding one year.

Entry-exit visas are usually issued to foreign citizens whose intention to stay in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic does not exceed one-year period.

Exit-entry visas are issued to foreign citizens who temporary depart from the Republic by different reasons.

Exit visas are issued to foreign citizens who depart from the Kyrgyz Republic. Transit visas are issued to foreign citizens transiting the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic to the third countries.

Depending on number of visas users there are individual visas and group visas.

As a rule visas are registered individually in the passport of the foreign citizens.

Group visas are usually processing and issued to a foreign tourist groups for visiting the Kyrgyz Republic. Group visa necessarily implies simultaneous group crossing of the Kyrgyz borders when entering and exiting as well as traveling round the Republic territory.

Visas validity terms

An official in response after the detailed application examining determines visas validity term. Diplomatic and service visas are valid for an accreditation period or for a period required in an application of the host organization not exceeding 3 years.

Ordinary visas are valid for a period not exceeding 1 year and can be extended annually within 5 years.

Student visas are valid for a period not exceeding 1 academic year and can be extended annually within 5 years or until educational course will be done.

Tourist visas are valid only a month. In emergency case it extends up to 2 months.

Private visas are valid only for three months. In emergency case it extends up to 6 months.

Permanent residence visas are valid only for a period not exceeding 3 months.

Transit visas are valid only for period not exceeding 5 days.

Investment visas are valid for

• a period not exceeding one year when an investment exceeds 20 000 $ USA;

• a period not exceeding one year when an investment exceeds 100 000 $ USA;

• a period not exceeding one year when an investment exceeds 300 000 $ USA.

Documents required to start visas processing and issuance:

a) diplomatic visa

– original diplomatic passport or any other powerful document (eg. UN passport)

– a letter of invitation from a host organization such as diplomatic representatives, consulate or trade representation offices, international organization accrediting in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic; President Administration, Prime Minister Cabinet, ministries, administrative and state authorized committees of the Kyrgyz Republic;

– copy of diplomatic card issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (in case of arrival for working in from diplomatic representatives, consulate or trade representation offices, international organization accrediting in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic);

– three copies of application forms and photos;

b) service visa

– original travel passport or any other powerful document;

– a letter of invitation from a host organization such as diplomatic representatives, consulate or trade representation offices, international organization accrediting in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic; President Administration, Prime Minister Cabinet, ministries, administrative and state authorized committees of the Kyrgyz Republic;

– copy of diplomatic card issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (in case of arrival for working in from diplomatic representatives, consulate or trade representation offices, international organization accrediting in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic);

– three copies of application forms and photos;

c) ordinary visa

– original travel passport or any other powerful document;

– a letter of invitation from a state and non state organizations of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kyrgyz, foreign and joint social and commercial ventures, registered in the Republic;

– license issued by the State Migration and Demography Agency under the Kyrgyz Republic Government to employee that provides him a right to hire foreign labor;

– personal permit enabling labor activity in the Republic issued by Migration Service Department under the Kyrgyz Republic Ministry for Foreign Affairs (KRMFA)

In case of hiring to trade organization following documents must be presented:

– a copy of the constitutive documents – organization Contract and Constitution;

– a copy of the registration certificate issued by the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic;

– an original certificate from the Tax Inspection;

– three copies of application forms and photos;

d) Student visa

– original travel passport or any other powerful document;

– a letter of invitation from Educational Institution registered in the Republic attested by the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture or in one of its local Departments;

– a copy of the Contract between a foreign citizen and host Educational Institution or Intergovernmental, or Interdepartmental Contract;

– three copies of application forms and photos;

e) Tourist visa

– Original travel passport or any other powerful document;

– a letter of invitation from tourist organization located in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan;

– Three copies of application forms and photos;

d) Private visa

– Original travel passport or any other powerful document;

– Application;

– permit issued by the Ministry of Internal Affaires obtained on the ground of the application-invitation from a citizen with a permanent residence in the Kyrgyz Republic or from a foreign citizen who has a permission for staying in the Kyrgyz Republic;

– Three copies of application forms;

– Salary certificate from the host place of work or any other authorized document of his solvency;

– Application from the host with obligations to cover all expenses required for a guest supporting within the Republic including medical and turn out expenses;

e) Permanent residence

– Original travel passport or any other powerful document;

– written application from the foreign citizen on permanent residence in the Kyrgyz Republic;

– permit from the Ministry of Internal Affairs;

– Three copies of application forms and photos;

f) Investment visa

– Original travel passport or any other powerful document;

– written application from the State Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic on Foreign Investments and Economic Development;

– Bank acknowledgement about deposition of the required sum;

– documents evidencing the deposit in pecuniary means for production purposes that the Agency suggests to foreign citizens in the form of administrative assistance, consultation and information services under the State Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic on Foreign Investments and Economic Development;

– Three copies of application forms and photos;

g) transit visa

– transit document to the final point of traveling;

– visa for a country of destination;

– permit (invitation) signed by the authority officials of the country of destination;

The law «About introduction of a visa-free regime for citizens of some states within 60 days»

The president of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev signed the Law «About introduction of a visa-free regime for citizens of some states within 60 days».
President Almazbek Atambayev signed the Law «About introduction of a visa-free regime for citizens of some states within 60 days». The law is adopted with a view of simplification of procedures of issue of visas to foreign citizens and increases of appeal of the tourist market, development of tourism and attraction of investments.

Among 44 – x the countries included in the list – 29 members (from total number of the 34th member countries) the Organizations for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), except for members of OECD: Turkey (from which there is an agreement on a visa-free regime on a mutual basis for the term up to 30 days), Japan (for which citizens the unilateral visa-free regime within 10 years operates), and also Mexico, Chile and Israel. It is necessary to note that the accepted list included 44 of 67 the countries which are included into the List of the foreign states approved by the Government on which citizens the simplified visa regime (the resolution No. 87 the simplified visa regime extends from 07.02.2009 was established for 45 countries, with the subsequent additions – on 11 countries in 2010 and 2011).

Period of validity of the Law

Article 3 of the adopted Law defined its action «till December 31, 2020», thus, the resolution Parliament about adoption of this Law (from June 14, 2012 of N 2020-V) it is entrusted «To the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic to inform the countries concerning which citizens the visa-free regime is unilaterally entered, information that the visa-free regime for their citizens is entered within December 31, 2020 and in case of achievement put before the Law it will be more whole is entered on a termless basis».

It is necessary to note that Parliament (item 2) is entrusted to the Government by also specified resolution: «to consider the offer on introduction of obligatory medical insurance of all foreign citizens for their stay in the Kyrgyz Republic; to speed up work on introduction of the automated system of boundary control when crossing frontier on all check points».

Applying for Kyrgyz Visa.

The citizens of the countries listed above, travelling to Kyrgyzstan for the period more than 60 days are required to obtain the Kyrgyz visa in any Embassy of Kyrgyzstan before their trip to Kyrgyzstan.

2. The citizens of the countries listed below enjoying non-visa/partial visa regime
A. Citizens holding any type of passport of the following countries are exempt

from visa requirement to enter Kyrgyzstan:

C. Citizens holding diplomatic passports of following countries are exempted from visa requirement to enter Kyrgyzstan:

3. All other citizens of the countries not listed above are required to obtain the visa and should present additional documents to the Embassy:

1. An invitation letter.

2. Authorization letter for visa from the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic (“visa support”). Inviting person or organization in Kyrgyzstan shall contact the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in advance before submitting the application for visa at the Embassy.

We strongly advise you do not confirm your travel arrangements until you have received this “visa support” for your visa application.

Issuance of visas is carried out by:

– Diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Kyrgyz Republic abroad;

– 24 hour working visa department at the international airport «Manas» in Bishkek.

Extension of visa on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic is carried out by:

1) Department of Consular Service of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the

Kyrgyz Republic for the following categories of visas: diplomatic, official, investment, business (B2), work (W2), tourist.
