On March 23, 2024, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic U. Djusupov took part in the Round Table on the state and development of cooperation between the states of the Central Asian region at the University of Cambridge.

The round table was traditionally organized by the Central Asian Forum of the University of Cambridge and was held in one of its oldest campuses.

This scientific and public event was attended by heads and representatives of the diplomatic missions of the Central Asian states, Afghanistan and Azerbaijan, teaching staff, postgraduate students, interns of the University of Cambridge engaged in research and study of current problems of political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian development of cooperation between countries of the Central Asian region, ensuring regional security and stability in the region.

In his speech, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic U. Djusupov informed the public on the recent economic achievements of Kyrgyzstan, gave a detailed analysis of the situation in the Central Asian region in the field of interaction in all areas of cooperation, including resolving border issues in the spirit of a peaceful and friendly approach, on the interaction of the parties on the international agenda, about the rich natural resources of the Central Asian region, in particular about critical mineral resources, the features of their exploration and development.

In addition, the Ambassador Djusupov provided more information about the stages of formation of Kyrgyz statehood, in particular on the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region and the 80th anniversary of the creation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, and informed about the events that are planned for their celebration in the Kyrgyz Republic.

In the format of active discussion and discussions, current issues and achievements in the field of development and economics in the countries of the region were considered, as well as interaction with the academic circles of the University of Cambridge in the framework of Central Asian studies.

All participants especially noted the growing importance of the Central Asian region, which is a connecting link between West and East, South and North, and emphasized the importance of further efforts to develop cooperation between the countries of Central Asia.
