On 15 April 2024, H.E. Mr.Ulan Djusupov, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, met with H.E. Ms. Nusrat Ghani the Minister of State for Europe and Central Asia in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the United Kingdom.

During the meeting, the parties noted with satisfaction the activation of the bilateral agenda and a wide range of issues of economic cooperation. It was noted that recently bilateral cooperation has been significantly expanded and diversified, high results have been achieved in various spheres of interaction, trust and mutual understanding have been strengthened.

The parties stressed the importance of the official visit of the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic N. Shakiev to the UK in March this year and the forthcoming high-level contacts and events of the parties.

At the same time, the parties noted the importance of further work on bringing relations to a new qualitative level with a focus on intensification of trade, economic and investment cooperation.

In this context, Ambassador U. Djusupov informed the British party about the successful reforms and economic development of the Kyrgyz Republic in recent years and handed over an official invitation of the Kyrgyz side to the International Mining Conference "Minex - Central Asia", which will be held in June this year in Bishkek.
