On December 9 H.E. the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Ruslan Kazakbaev had a virtual meeting with H.E. the Minister for European Neighbourhood and the Americas of the United Kingdom Mrs. Wendy Morton. 
Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev used this opprtunity to inform the British side on the current political situation and the forthcoming Presidential elections in the Kyrgyz Republic scheduled for January 10, 2021.  
Parties discussed among other issues preparations for the COP26 to be held in November 2021 in Glasgow as well as the mutual efforts to prevent the further spread of the global pandemic.
