The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan I. Dzhunusov took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Chingiz Aitmatov and Kyrgyz-Uzbek Literary Relations", which was held on May 16 this year in the city of Tashkent at the National University of Uzbekistan named after M.Ulugbek, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The conference was attended by famous poets and writers, literary scholars, philologists, leaders and professors, teachers of the National University of Uzbekistan. M.Ulugbek, students and others. At the invitation of the organizers, a delegation from the Kyrgyz Republic headed by the Director of the Institute of Language and Literature named after Ch.Aitmatov of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic A.Akmataliyev took part in the conference.

The program of the event included plenary reports and a round table devoted to the work of the great writer. At the end of the conference, the head of the permanently working exhibition “Ch.Aitmatov and Uzbekistan” A.Meliboev and well-known Uzbek translators A.Rashidov and I.Gafurov, who translated the works of the writer into the Uzbek language, as well as their own correspondent of IA "Kabar" in Uzbekistan T.Kurbanov.
