On November 5th, 2019, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Uzbekistan, within the support of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy of Uzbekistan, conducted a round table dedicated to the memory of the prominent statesman and public figure of the Kyrgyz Republic, first Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan Batyraly Sydykov. The event was attended by government and public figures of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, familiar with Batyraly Sydykov and his activities,
As part of the round table, a photo exhibition was also dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the prominent statesman and the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as a video about the life and work of Batyraly Sydykov was shown.
The round table was started within the welcoming speech of the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan Ibrahim Dzhunusov, Vice-Rector for International Relations of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy of Uzbekistan Saidmukhtar Saidkasymov, public figure of Kyrgyzstan, chairman of the «Kurmanzhan Datka» Foundation Zhyldyzkan Zholdosheva, Head of the Department for Social Development Saltanat Amanova. Executive Director of the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan Friendship Society Zukhritdin Isamutdinov and head of the «Chyngyz Aitmatov» сenter at the National University of Uzbekistan, Ahmadjon Meliboev were provided an opportunity to give a speech.
During the round table, participants shared their memories about Batyraly Sydykov, noting especially his activities as ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan and his significant role in the establishment and strengthening of Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations.
