A meeting was held between Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov and the Rector of the King Saud University Dr. Badran Al-Omar

In Riyadh, a meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov and the Rector of the King Saud University Dr. Badran Al-Omar.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the development and strengthening of cooperation in the educational, academic and research fields between King Saud University and higher educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Ambassador U.Maripov proposed to the Saudi side to consider the issue of concluding Memorandums of Cooperation between the King Saud University and interested higher educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as training our students in this university.

In turn, Dr. Badran Al-Omar informed that interested students and academics from the Kyrgyz Republic could take advantage of various master's and doctoral programs, and joint programs, including scientific and academic research programs.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain constant contact to discuss further actions, as well as begin preparatory activities for signing of draft Memorandums of Cooperation between the universities of the two countries.

For reference: King Saud University was founded in 1957 by Royal Decree, is a leading university in Saudi Arabia with its own budget. About sixty thousand Saudi and foreign students study at the University in various areas of science and technology, linguistics, medicine, etc.
