On February 17, 2021, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan M.Arstanbayev took part in an online investment webinar organized by Investment Promotion and Protection Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic (IPPA KR) and the Japan Association for Trade with Russia and Newly Independent States (ROTOBO) with the assistance of Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. On behalf of the Japanese side, the event was attended by the Ambassador of Japan to the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Shigeki Maeda, the UNIDO representative, Ms. Ikue Toshinaga, and the representative of Okinawa Relationship, Mr. Shinsuke Teraoka. The moderator was the Director of the Research Institute for the Economy of Russia and Newly Independent States ROTOBO, Ms. Miki Wajima. During the event, participants from government agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic presented presentations on investment attractiveness in tourism, agriculture and human resource development. From the business sector, presentations were also made by Tomat KG LLC, Studio CHAPANSAR, Aronia Pharm LLC, Alysh-Dan Organic cooperative and Ecoproduct Asia LLC. The companies showed an extensive potential for developing cooperation with the Japanese business sector and voiced promising business proposals for the Japanese side. The investment webinar is part of the online exhibition "Central Asia - Virtual EXPO (CAVEX)", which is held online from February 1 to 26, 2021, in order to stimulate trade and investment between Japan and the countries of Central Asia. The online platform "Central Asia - Virtual EXPO (CAVEX)" provides information on the investment potential of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as on the activities of the companies Tomat KG LLC, Studio CHAPANSAR, Aronia Pharm LLC, Kirtown Line LLC, Producers Association and meat processors “Kyrgyz-Et”, LLC “Aiko Seiko”, cooperative “Alysh-Dan Organic”, LLC “Ulai Style”, LLC “Ecoproduct Asia” and LLC “Imperial Group Company”. Following the results of the exhibition, it is expected to conduct online meetings and negotiations CAVEX - B2B format.
