Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Zheenbek Kulubaev met with European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Janez Lenarĉiĉ on November 15, 2022, in Brussels.

The parties exchanged views on the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.

They also discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of counteracting crises and strengthening the capacity of state bodies of Kyrgyzstan for effective functioning in crisis conditions.

Minister Kulubaev informed about the efforts of Kyrgyzstan to ensure the safety and security of uranium tailings and expressed a request to support efforts in the fight against radioactive waste.

In conclusion, he thanked the European side for the support provided and the humanitarian projects being implemented.
