The Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary Bakyt Dzhusupov took part in the annual meeting of the President of Hungary Janos Ader on January 13, 2020 with ambassadors accredited in this country. During the meeting, Bakyt Dzhusupov informed about the current situation in Kyrgyzstan and the country's intention to further strengthen and develop integrated cooperation with Hungary. In this regard, both sides are working on a number of foreign policy and foreign economic measures in the framework of planned visits at the highest and high levels.

During a trip to Budapest, Ambassador Bakyt Dzhusupov also met with Jeno Kudrjavcev, Director of the Department of Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, where they discussed issues on the agenda of bilateral and multilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary. Particular emphasis was placed on active trade and economic cooperation and the further expansion of the legal base of the two countries.

On the same day, Ambassador Bakyt Dzhusupov held meetings at Hungarian companies Zeolit Hungary and Ganz EEM, LLC. The first company specializes in the supply of zeolite, which is used to remove ammonia nitrogen, compounds of heavy metals, radionuclides and petroleum products from water. This mineral was actively used after the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The parties discussed the prospect of cooperation on the problems of tailings ponds existing in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Ganz EEM, LLC is a leading company in Hungary for the production of pumping and turbine products, as well as the construction of mini-hydropower plants. Following the meeting, the company leaders expressed interest in implementing hydropower projects in the Kyrgyz Republic.
