On May 15-16, 2023, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Italy Taalay Bazarbaev paid a working visit to the Sardinia region.

On May 15, during the meeting with the Chairman of the City Council of Cagliari E. Tocco the Ambassador discussed the perspectives of developing cooperation with the Mayor's Office of Karakol and organization of a visit of a delegation of the Mayor's Office of Cagliari to Kyrgyzstan this year to sign the Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation.

Ambassador T. Bazarbaev also made a request to assist in facilitating the stay of the numerous Kyrgyz diaspora living in Cagliari and provide support in holding events aimed at developing and deepening Kyrgyz-Italian ties.

In turn, E. Tocco thanked for the invitation to visit the city of Karakol and announced about the possibility of arranging a visit of the leadership of the Mayor's Office of Cagliari to Kyrgyzstan this year.

In addition, during the visit, a meeting was held with the President and Director of the Regional Representative Office of the Italian National Association of Italian Agricultural Producers "Сoldiretti Sardegna" C. Battista and L. Saba, who noted the urgent need for qualified personnel for the island's agricultural enterprises and expressed their readiness to attract labor resources from Kyrgyzstan in accordance with Italian legislation.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on organizing a visit of the top management of Coldiretti Sardegna to Kyrgyzstan in the first half of this year.
