The Ambassador of the Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Korea Mrs. Aida Ismailova met with the recently appointed Head of the Korea-Kyrgyzstan Parliamentary Friendship Group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Mr. Kang Giyun

On July 19, 2022 in Seoul, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Korea Mrs. Aida Ismailova met with the recently appointed Head of the Korea-Kyrgyzstan Parliamentary Friendship Group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Mr. Kang Giyun.

During the conversation, the interlocutors discussed issues of further strengthening and expanding the Kyrgyz-Korean bilateral and inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Ambassador Mrs. Aida Ismailova emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic attaches great importance to the continuation of political dialogue with the Republic of Korea, and therefore is ready to further deepen and develop bilateral ties, including inter-parliamentary ones, by organizing exchange visits at the highest and high levels.

The parties exchanged views on the issues of building up trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as in the field of healthcare and education. Aida Ismailova noted the importance of promoting priority projects in such areas as agriculture, urban and regional development, infrastructure, transport, ecology, hydropower, digitalization, textile industry, education and healthcare.

She invited members of the parliamentary friendship group headed by Mr. Kang Giyun to visit Kyrgyzstan in the near future.

In turn, Mr. Kang Giyun informed about the activities of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and expressed readiness for further close and fruitful cooperation on all the above issues.
