On July 26, 2021, at the headquarters of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), the Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN and other International Organizations in Geneva A.Beishenaliev met with the Executive Secretary of UNECE O.Algayerova.

During the meeting, A. Beishenaliev informed O.Algayerova on the current internal political situation in Kyrgyzstan and emphasized that today, one of the priority tasks for the leadership of Kyrgyzstan is to carry out the socio-economic reforms in the country.

The parties noted the high level of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and UNECE, in particular, the recent joint launch of the Roadmap of the Kyrgyz Republic on Trade Facilitation for 2021-2025, the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Kyrgyz Economic University of M. Ryskulbekov’s name for the period from May 2021 to April 2022 and support from UNECE for public-private partnership projects in Kyrgyzstan. The parties also discussed issues related to the circular economy, innovation and road safety in the region.

In conclusion, the parties agreed to continue active cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and UNECE.
