Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Mirgul Moldoisaeva met with ILO Special Representative to the UN Beate Andrees

On January 18, 2021, the Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Mirgul Moldoisaeva met with the Special Representative of the International Labor Organization to the UN Beata Andrees. During this meeting, the parties discussed further bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the International Labor Organization and activities within the UN aimed at bridging the digital divide between Member States, creating jobs, ensuring decent working conditions and protecting labor rights in the modern era of digital technologies. In this regard the holding of traditional side-event on the occasion of the World Social Justice Day on February 20, adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2007 as the initiative of the Kyrgyz Republic, has been discussed. Special Representative Beata Andrees confirmed her readiness for close cooperation on the above-mentioned issues with the Kyrgyz party, as well as assistance in organizing and holding this event.

Also Permanent Representative Mirgul Moldoisaeva informed about the presidential elections and the referendum on Kyrgyzstan’s form of government, and also confirmed the commitment of the Kyrgyz party to its international obligations in the field of labor protection, ensuring social protection and promoting the rights of labor migrants.
