On March 5, 2022, the "Spring Festival 2022" was held in the Diplomatic Quarter in Riyadh, which was jointly organized by the Embassies of Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The spring festival is held annually with the cooperation of the Embassies of the Turkic-speaking states in Saudi Arabia and is dedicated to the spring holiday – “Nooruz”, in order to familiarize the local audience, residents of the Diplomatic Quarter  and foreign diplomats with a rich history, culture, traditions and customs of the peoples of Central Asia, Turkey and Azerbaijan.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulukbek Maripov, as well as the Ambassadors of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan delivered a welcoming speech to the visitors of the festival and spoke about the history of the Nooruz holiday, as well as the traditions of their peoples in celebrating this holiday.

For guests and participants of the festival, picturesque stalls were presented, furnished with traditional dresses, handmade souvenirs, jewelry, paintings, as well as national dishes and treats.

The national Kyrgyz yurt, which was built on the site of the festival by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic, aroused keen interest among visitors and participants of the event.
