In Ankara opened park named after Chyngyz Aitmatov and installed a bust of the great writer

On October 8, 2022, a park named after the great writer, diplomat and public figure Chyngyz Aitmatov was opened in Ankara. In the park a bust of the writer has been installed with Aitmatov's quote on a pedestal: “The most difficult thing for a human is to be a Human every day.”

On the occasion of the opening of the park named after the great writer, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev and the Mayor of Chankaya Municipality Alper Tashdelen took a congratulatory speech.

In his speech, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev noted that the opening of a park in the capital of Türkiye and the installation of a bust in honor of Aitmatov is not only a clear confirmation of deep honor of the writer and his memory but also symbolizes the strong fraternal relations of the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye.

Ambassador Omuraliev emphasized that Chyngyz Aitmatov is a fundamental personality not only for the Kyrgyz people but for the entire Turkic world.

In his speech, Mayor Alper Tashdelen noted the importance of the personality of Chyngyz Aitmatov for a whole generation of Turkish citizens who grew up on his creations and their adaptations. He expressed his joy and pride that the name of the great Kyrgyz writer is now associated with the Chankaya municipality of Ankara.

The solemn ceremony was attended by Heads and representatives of diplomatic missions of foreign states accredited in Ankara, representatives of ministries and departments, public organizations, academia, business structures, the media, as well as citizens of Kyrgyzstan living in the city of Ankara.
