The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Azizbek Madmarov met with the Ambassador of Indonesia to Kyrgyzstan Sunario Kartadinat

On May 20, 2022, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Azizbek Madmarov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kyrgyz Republic Sunario Kartadinat.

During the meeting, the Parties discussed topical issues on the agenda of the Kyrgyz-Indonesian cooperation. In particular, the organization of Kyrgyz-Indonesian inter-MFA consultations during which prospects for further cooperation will be discussed in areas of mutual interest.

The parties noted the importance of fruitful cooperation on mutual support within the framework of international organizations. A. Madmarov informed about the nomination of the candidacy of Kyrgyzstan to the Human Rights Council for 2023-2025 and non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for 2027-2028, in connection with which he asked to support the candidacies of the Kyrgyz Republic. For his part, he noted the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to consider the proposals of the Indonesian side for mutual support.

In order to expand the legal framework between the countries, the parties noted the need to accelerate the process of agreeing on draft model agreements in the field of healthcare, culture, agriculture, environmental protection, sports, as well as in the field of ensuring the quality of halal products.

Indonesian Ambassador S. Kartadinata proposed to intensify cooperation in the field of education. In particular, to study the possibility of sending teachers from Indonesia to Kyrgyzstan in various specialties, as well as teaching students from Kyrgyzstan in Indonesian universities.

On the eve of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Indonesia, which will be held next year (April 5, 1993), the Parties discussed the possibility of organizing joint events dedicated to the significant date.

In conclusion, the Parties expressed their readiness to continue to make efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and achieve tangible results in areas of mutual interest.
