Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Dinara Kemelova met the delegation of the Asia Culturе Center under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, headed by President Kanghyun Lee

On July 14, 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Dinara Kemelova met the delegation of the Asia Culture Center under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, headed by President Kanghyun Lee.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the project on digitalization of the cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz Republic. The project will be implemented under the Official Development Assistance of the Government of the Republic of Korea in the amount of $2.3 million.

Dinara Kemelova noted the interest of the Kyrgyz side in creating a unified database of the historical and cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz Republic for its further wide promotion abroad and attracting foreign tourists to Kyrgyzstan.

For reference: The project is being implemented through the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic. Under the Project, it is planned to strengthen the capacity of three cultural sites of the Kyrgyz Republic: the National Historical Museum, the National Museum of Fine Arts named after. Gapar Aitiev and the Center for Nomadic Civilization named after Kurmanzhan Datka.
