On April 28 this year Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan Kairat Osmonaliev met with Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev.

The parties discussed in detail the prospects for further deepening the strategic partnership, as well as topical issues of Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani relations.

In addition, the interlocutors exchanged views on holding days of culture of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Azerbaijan. At the same time, in honor of the celebration of the 95th anniversary of Chingiz Aitmatov, the Ambassador drew attention to the issue of perpetuating the memory of the national writer in Azerbaijan.

Special attention was paid to plans for the exchange of visits at the highest and high levels.

At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed issues on the practical launch of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund.
