mbassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the Mayor of Bursa Alinur Aktash

On February 13-14, 2020, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev paid working visit to Bursa.

As part of the visit, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the Mayor of Bursa Alinur Aktash and, as part of the development of the regions of Kyrgyzstan and bilateral economic and trade cooperation, noted the necessity of establishment twinning relations between Bursa and one of the cities of Kyrgyzstan.

During the visit, Ambassador Omuraliev met with the leadership, members of the Board of Directors and businessmen of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Kubanychbek Omuraliev made a presentation on the investment climate and opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic, on the conditions for doing business (liberal taxes, costs of doing business, etc.), macroeconomic indicators and foreign trade turnover of the Kyrgyz Republic, on the membership of the Kyrgyz Republic in the EAEU and distributed projects of the public-private partnership at the meeting. Ambassador Omuraliev invited businessmen to participate in the Kyrgyz-Turkish Business forum to be held in the summer of 2020, as well as answered questions of interest to them.

For reference: Bursa is a large city in the north-west of Turkey, the fourth largest after Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir and the administrative center of the province of the same name. The population of Bursa is 3,056 million people, as of 2019, the main sectors of the economy of the province of Bursa are agriculture, agricultural, textile and automotive industries, trade, tourism, minerals (tungsten, zinc, marble, etc.). There are automobile plants Oyak-Renault and TOFA, a company Coskunoz, which produces press equipment for automotive components in Bursa.
