On September 5, 2023 in Paris with the initiative of the Kyrgyz side, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to France S.Sher-Niyaz met with the Director of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of France Natalia Nikitenko.

Ambassador Sher-Niyaz made proposals on co-operation in pre-school and school education. In particular, to exchange experience with France on the organization of pre-school education system, on methods of inclusive education in France, besides, in order to promote the study of French language in the Kyrgyz Republic, to consider programs and projects aimed on training and professional development of Kyrgyz teachers of French language in Paris or other regions of France.

In terms of cooperation in higher education, it was proposed to consider co-operation in higher education and science through the development of double degree programs between universities of the Kyrgyz Republic and France, for example: to start with economic and humanities.

In order to expand the contractual legal framework, Ambassador Sher-Niyaz handed over the draft framework agreement on co-operation in the field of education between the Kyrgyz Republic and France.

The French side favorably considered the Ambassador's proposals on exchange of experience in terms of cooperation in preschool and school education and expressed readiness to receive delegations from the Kyrgyz Republic for a substantive excursion to educational institutions in France. An agreement was also reached to hold meetings between experts and lawyers of the two ministries in a hybrid format to discuss the issue of intensifying cooperation and expanding the legal framework.

At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their willingness to continue to make joint efforts to further expand cooperation in the educational sphere between the Kyrgyz Republic and France.
