On March 1, 2022, within the framework of the working visit of the Minister of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic Baktybek Bekbolotov, the meetıng with the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey Hulusi Akar took place. During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of military-technical cooperation. As a result of the meeting, the Roadmap for Military-Technical Cooperation was signed.

In order to strengthen further cooperation in the field of military education, there was the meetıng of the Minister of Defense Baktybek Bekbolotov and the Commander of Turkish Military Academy Gultekin Yaraly. The parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of military professional education. Turkish side acquainted the Kyrgyz delegation with the activities of the Military Academy and the Kyrgyz delegation met with cadets from Kyrgyzstan studying at the Academy.

During the visit, the Kyrgyz delegation met with the Office of the Defense Industry Directorate under the Office of the President of Turkey and visited the facilities of the Asfat complex, a state-owned enterprise in the field of military industry, maintenance and support of military factories. The Kyrgyz delegation also visited the Aselsan company, which is the leading company in the Turkish defense industry, whose activities cover communications and information technologies, defense technologies, and security.

During their stay in Ankara, the delegation of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic met with Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev at the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkey, visited the Anitkabir Mausoleum and the monument to Manas the Magnanimous on the central square of the Kechioren municipality in Ankara.
